Within the week and it is normally when you hit 39 weeks they do it. Mine is footing breech. Recovery take it easy, 3 days in bed, 3 days around bed, 3 days away from the bed. Take little walks as that maximises recovery. Don’t lift anything heavier than your baby, keep the area clean and dry at all times. Regarding partners it depends on each hospital. You’ll need a nightdress at hospital because you’ll get a catheter Really loose clothing and knickers that go well over your bump for comfort x
Hi, just to let you know that I am in the same position. I’m 37 + 2 today and I have to have a section also. I haven’t yet been given a date, they have just said it’s likely to be week commencing Monday 13th January - Wednesday 15th January but I have a growth scan on the 2nd of January so will hopefully hear something then. I am not sure where you are based, but at Bolton I am pretty sure my husband can stay with me until 9pm then come back at 9am the following day. Xx
I was in hospital pre Xmas for 4 nights due to transverse baby (sideways) and only just received my c section date today for Saturday 4th Jan due to reduced staff and bank hols etc. xx
Usually within the following week, but might be delays over Christmas so I’d expect it this week or call your midwife. This happened with me and I had to be booked in for a second consultant appointment to book it in as my date didn’t show for a few weeks, then I got it a few days later. It was a lot earlier on though. It depends on the hospital policy if your partner can stay over, mine had to leave by 7pm. You’re welcome to ask me any questions, I had a planned with my first but baby was not breech x
