Should you wait a certain amount of time after the pill to start conceiving?

I think it’s better to wait a few months to clear it off your system

We didn't wait at all either times. With my first I fell pregnant within 2 months. This time round I came off the pill 21st September and am currently 14 weeks pregnant

I came off the mini pill, and it took us 6 months to conceive! We started doubting ourselves! With the second, I just never went back onto contraception, and we didn't "try" and got a little surprise one month! I do think it plays a part!

No harm in just starting to try but from experience it does take a few months for it to get out of your system so don't be disheartened if you have negative tests in the first couple of months x

The only reason we are 'advised' to wait is so that that your periods return and they can date the pregnancy easier. I came off the pill and conceived before I had a period so they had no idea how far along I was x

You can get pregnant straight after coming off it so you don't have to. I came off mine nearly a year before hand but I'd been back to backing my pill for basically a decade so I had zero clue when my period was due as I had 1 a year if that as I'd only stop if I got spotting. I was conceived while my mum was on the mini pill and I'm fine.

@Adelle same not even 2 weeks off the mini pill and we got knocked up. I had regular periods on the pill so dating wasn't an issue and she rocked up 39+6.

It can be just be hard to track right off the bat. For example example first couple months, I was basing everything off a 28 day cycle. After tracking I realized i have a 24 day cycle after coming off birth control and to base it off that instead. So it took a few months to figure that out and what my normal period was now that I was off birth control.

I think it depends on how long you take it for. I was on the birth control pill for 4 years and it took a year exactly for me to get pregnant after not being on it. I mean we weren’t trying to have a baby but we stopped using any and all kind of protection and i just ended up pregnant exactly a year later

@Asia same … came off it happened unexpected 6 months later I mean what were we thinking when we were having raw sex 😂😂🙈🙈🙈
