Christening Advice

Bit of a random one but basically I don't have any family at all and my husband has a small family just his parents really. I would like to get my little girl Christened, but we wouldn't have enough people to invite to have a party afterwards really. I've thought maybe a meal with a few close friends and family or maybe just organise something back at our house? A buffet or something? Is anyone else in the same position or have any other ideas how I could still make it special for her and celebrate? Thank you x

I went to a christening while I was pregnant and even though only about 20 people were there they still had a party after it and it was great, so maybe do something small in your house xx

Our families are huge so our christenings are 100+ people and a serious headache of organising! I would love to go to a christening where there was a nice meal or small gathering at the house afterwards, it would feel really special and personal to you and baby- which is what they're about xx

I recently got my son & daughter christened. We planned for some buffet food, cake and tea at ours after. In the end we had it actually at the church as they had a little room to the side. I basically couldn’t be bothered to clean up my own house 😂 cost us £30 to hire out the church room. We had pre made sandwiches from sainsburys, drinks and I got a nice cake. Everyone said how lovely it was and I was really happy with how it was x

Who says you need a party. Do a dinner/lunch or buffet after for your friends and family. Sounds perfect
