Formula when weaning

How much formula are your babies having when weaning? Worried I'm overfeeding.

My boy is still having same amount of milk as he was before weaning, and he’s very content 7/8oz 5 bottles a day, he will have sone breakfast, lunch and a snack so far (we haven’t started on dinner yet we are goint slow) x

My 7 month old still has like 5 bottles a day, as she doesn't eat enough (BLW) to drop any formula yet x

I guess I'm not sure when he will be eating enough to then drop the bottle. Still on 5 or 6 a day at moment and having breakfast and dinner. Purees and blw mix.

3 x 8oz bottles in the day and 1 x 7oz bottle of a night, he dropped to x3 8oz bottles when he started on 3 meals and snacks but now he’s waking in the night for milk again and draining all bottles x

We are literally just starting our journey about two weeks in now. We’ve decided to stick to 5 bottles, response feeding as we go so he tells us what he needs. Then when he’s eating at least one full meal that’s when we will drop a bottle to do 4 bottles. Response feeding again, then when comfortably eating two meals that’s when we will do 3 bottles response feeding and by the time he’s 1 we will aim to be off the bottles ☺️

My girl has 2 meals (breakfast and lunch) and I've recently just dropped a bottle so she has 3x8oz

That’s exactly how we feel, he’s very hit and miss to whether he will take solids on or not. I would want him to be comfortably eating one meal before dropping. Otherwise id be worrying he wasn’t getting enough.

We are on 2 meals a day (mixture of BLW and spoon feeding) and have just gone down from 4 x 8oz bottles to 4 x7oz bottles as he was never finishing them. My boy was 7 months 31st May and is bang on 50 centile so seems to be doing okay weight wise. I am looking forward to dropping a bottle though because trying to fit in 4 bottles, 2 meals, 2/3 naps and get out the house is just a mission 🫠🤣
