Why does no one prepare you that you will lose most of your friends after becoming a mom? I feel so alone lately. It’s even worse knowing my ex is doing whatever he wants while I raise our son by myself after all the abuse and trauma he put me through pregnant.

Yeah we definitely get the short end of the stick when it doesn’t workout, but if you try to warn women about that then you’ll be seen as fear-mongering.

I know it sucks. I was in a similar scenario with my first son. It took some time but things are great now. I actually ended up liking single parenting a little better than parenting with a man. I'm in a great relationship now, have three more sons and am glad everything worked out the way it did in retrospect (I know that might sound odd, and I still kinda miss being single/parenting on my own). Things will get better if you stick it out and you'll find new friends with similar priorities as you have now. 😃
