Chia seeds

So apparently, chia seeds absorb water in your tummy. To avoid this too much, you should soak them for 10-15 minutes in water, milk or a milk substitute before consuming. Do you do this? Share anything relevantly educational if you can.

And they need to be milled if you want to get the nutritional value, otherwise your tummy can't digest them and you just poop them.

Yes they do absorb water but for this very reason chia is amazing for weight loss- you feel fuller for longer BECAUSE they absorb water after consuming. I add a handful to my yogurt w Muesli and to my smoothies.
