Suctioning and saline treatments!! I’m in the same boat, but we have finally started to improve! The breathing will sound very alarming. I went to the ER twice, because I just couldn’t convince myself not to. Watch for belly breathing, flaring nostrils, blue lips/fingertips & head nodding! Wishing you a speedy recovery. My heart is with you!!!

Same boat here. Day 3. He is so much better today. Every day we do suction, nasal spray and the micro mist saline inhaler. Also have humidifier in his room. Lots of snuggles and nursing. Curious did either of you get the RSV vaccine?

We’re on day 6 & the whole house also has it. Hang in there. 😭 Humidifier, saline, steamy bathrooms, & keep baby hydrated as much as possible! Even if it seems like baby isn’t eating much, every little bit counts. As long as diapers are being wet frequently, you shouldn’t worry. Watch for distressed breathing & prepare for sleepless nights. Hope all is well! 🫶🏼

@Trisha we did! I knew it wouldn’t prevent it, but would lessen the symptoms. we are on day 3.5 & she is already sounding so much better. but if that was “milder symptoms” I don’t want to know what severe symptoms would have looked like. today was the first day I couldn’t hear her breathing/wheezing from the next room. did your little get the shot?

My little girl just got over RSV. I had to auction with nose Frida several times a day as well as use the saline spray to go in one nostril and out the other every other night to clean nostrils. I also asked the doc for a nebulizer with saline to help dry the mucus. I avoided giving her baths and kept her chest rubbed with the zarabees chest rub and eucalyptus in the baby Frida humidifier

@Trisha she’s all update with her vaccines and i got it when i was pregnant with her also

@Yuahlli @Deja yes he did get the vaccine and honestly I find myself wondering if that’s why he got RSV in the first place. The reason I say this is I am the type of person that when I get the flu vaccine I get the flu and it’s absolutely horrible. He was perfectly healthy before he got the vaccine so I’m not sure if getting the vaccine played a part in him getting that or if getting the vaccine truly lessened his symptoms

@Trisha that’s honestly how I felt!! My daughter is 7.5 months and had never had any sickness before. I also read an article when she first got sick that said they were considering pulling it because of a trial they did. I’ll link it! https://publications.aap.org/aapnews/news/30974/More-information-needed-amid-paused-RSV-vaccine

@Deja wow I wish I would’ve seen this before I had I feel like pediatricians really push vaccinations
