Cold water sterilisers

Hi mamas, Do we have an opinion on cold water sterilisers? Specifically the Milton one I’m weighing up whether it will help with bottles or whether to stick with microwaving the mam ones

I've a milton cold water one. I had a tommee tippee steamer one, and as soon as I opened the lid, the bottles left in it were no longer sterile, so swicting to the cold water, one was simple. The bottles stay sterile as long as in the water. X

Cold water sterilising is so convenient and only takes 15 minutes! And stuff stays sterile in the water for 24 hours

I much prefer Milton cold water sterilising. It’s quick and it’s so convenient. I will be using this again for this baby x

I used a Milton one last time where you could cold water sterilise or pop in the microwave. So easy and I'll be using it again this time 😊

We had a microwave one which we fucked off within weeks for the cold water one. I cannot fault it the water lasts for 24 hours only takes like 15 mins If I remember properly. I honestly can't fault it plus our massive stupid microwave one didn't fit in our new microwave 😂

Found cold water steriliser the easiest x

Loved ours last time! Milton tub all the way

I didn’t rate them because of having to put my hands in the water to fish things out (sensitive skin) and remember to change the water every day. Also it ruined the teats of my MAM bottles and I had to get new ones. They went all cloudy and odd texture? We’ve gone for a UV steriliser this time. Also it’s our third baby so we probably won’t be as militant as we were with our premature twins (we were so worried about everything with them being our first and being premature).

I used mam bottles with my first and we put them in the microwave but it was a faff so i’m gonna go cold water sterilising, much easier and also don’t have to touch hot bottles 😅

I’m going for a UV steriliser. It’s 5x quicker, takes up less space, don’t have to worry about drying the bottles as they’re already dry, you don’t have to keep buying tablets… Just throwing another possibility out there that you may or may not have considered yet🫶🏼

@Lucy Woth the cold water sterilising you don’t need to dry the bottles. If milton then don’t need to rinse after either

@Lucy I wouldn’t want to feed my baby holding a wet bottle giving me wet hands personally… x

@Lucy defo, that’s the other thing I didn’t like was having to have a rack specifically for drying bottles on, I had twins so had soo many bottles as well 🫠🫠 im excited to use the Tommee Tippee UV steriliser and drier especially with it being all in one

@Jo exactly this! I get contact dermatitis so easily and the UV eliminates all of that as there’s nothing for my hands to react with! x

@Lucy yes! Same 🙌🏻
