Newborn car seat inserts

Can keeping newborn inserts in too long be dangerous? I have a friend who comments how her baby screams in the car still at 8m… I often suggest to her to take out the newborn head inserts they still have and she says she’s anxious about head control. Baby can absolutely control their head, been rolling since 3m, and now crawling. They’re a really good weight and size. Obviously it’s not really my place, and the baby may still hate the car without them anyway, but I’m not kidding you when I say this babies head is so tight in this seat that I’m starting to worry if it’s safe and do I need to say something more blunt. Is it dangerous or ok? 🤦‍♀️ Would you say anything?

@Katie I’m not sure as I don’t have her manual, but from a quick google it says birth to approx 3 month/holding head, so I’d say probably not

Personally I’d probably try to explain this and how it could be causing more danger in a nice way xx

My little one still screams at 8 months old. Even though I took the infant insert out. She likes being held instead.

Definitely need to remove them for the baby’s comfort. It can be uncomfortable for them as they get squashed x
