We have both - Axkid Minikid 4 in my car and Britax Romer in my partner’s car. I basically got won over by the marketing when I bought the Axkid but in hindsight I wish we had bought two of the Britax. Personally, we found the installation of the Britax so much easier and my son looks more comfortable in the shell. (He is 98th centile if that’s useful) There is also a huge difference in price and I currently can’t see what more you get for the extra £150+ that Axkid charges, aside from the aesthetics? I would definitely get spare tethers if you need to move it in between cars but once the tethers are in, it’s not hard to fit. The Britax seat has a noise sensor to tell you when the leg is correctly installed 😊
I have the britax max safe pro and i love it! Lasts up to 7 years and definitely gonna try that. Super easy use 🤗
Ive got the britax max safe pro and honestly i love it. Join Car Seat Safety UK on facebook and the girls will be able to help you with this. They do deals and can offer advice keeping in mind budget, height, weight, car, age ect.
@Tiffanie id be careful with that group. I bought my carseat from them. I liked someones comment on a post and i got banned, just because she disagreed with her. She wont help me with an issue i have and called me a bitch 😅 read the reviews on trustpilot before you buy somewhere xx

@Marissa though shes very dry shes still good at her job shes just very blunt. Tbh i wouldnt want my baby to be hurt or worse because of a crap fit or a properly tested car seat.
@Tiffanie hmm not sure about that. I asked which carseat she would recommend for my baby. Told her everything she had to know and after i bought it and asked for a fit check, she slagged me off for buying the complete wrong carseat.. showed her a screenshot of her recommendation and then she got angry at me for twisting her words 😅 still happy with my carseat tho haha

We have the axkid minikid in our car and the axkid move in my mums car. You get used to moving them once you know how. You can buy spare tethers so they can stay in the cars and you just move the seat. I presume the britax one will be the same with the tethers. The most time consuming part of fitting the seats is doing the tethers so I definitely recommend getting extras xx
