Are you also active duty? If yes, talk to your command. If not, you should be on his orders to move with him. Your child(ren) should also be listed on the PCS orders. Then you can begin to make arrangements for military movers or begin the process for a self move (PPM)

@Charlotte Thank you! My husband told me I should also get a copy the same day he does, so I was just double checking that since I do not really have any ideas about orders. I am just a milspouse! 🫶

Hi! Milspouse here! So you won’t get a copy, he gets a copy, and you will be on them. He can make you a copy but I only recommend making as many copies as you absolutely need

@Gabrielle Hi! Thank you so much! How can I get a copy while he is in AIT?

@Asheton he will have to send them to you. Personally I wouldn’t want them because there’s a lot in them that you won’t need. All you need to know is duty station and if you are on them.

@Gabrielle Okay! So I don’t need the orders to get housing?

To get on waitlists no! You just can’t accept without the orders. And if I’m being honest I wouldn’t accept an offer without talking to him first. He would be able to view and also submit because there’s soooo much more than just orders that’s needed to accept housing. Orders in the army at least are at least 10 pages long because they have orders, plus several other pages of information.

@Gabrielle Thank you so so much! I appreciate you! 🤍
