I’m dreading it. I haven’t started either. I genuinely don’t know where to begin. My daughter hides to go potty and hates sitting on the toilet

Following

We’ve started, but only for number two ,basically when I could tell that she was starting to go, we named it as pooping and put her on the potty, eventually she caught on. Now she tells us when she has to poop and hasn’t pooped in a diaper since She was 15 months old

Reading the Oh Crap book helped. I waited until my son was 2.5. My daughter will be 2 in March but I don't think she's entirely ready yet, almost though!! Basically at first you have them go pantless and watch them and wait until they pee, stop them, put them on the potty and wait a bit. The first few days you'll want to pump them with fluids so you get a lot of practice and they feel their bladder getting full. You'll start noticing how long they can hold it and ask when they need to go. Eventually you add pants (no underwear/pullups) but I highly recommend that book.

I’ve started because she was ready but it sucks because the daycare doesn’t start until she’s 2, She started taking off her diaper and she likes to sit on the toilet when I sit, she’s doing good I just have to be consistent with it
