No I wouldn’t, but I wouldn’t care either. I don’t know any adults that expect presents or think like this.
I’d be hurt that she didn’t recognize my birthday at all, but I’d still be the bigger person and acknowledge her birthday with a small gift

Most adults don't buy birthday presents for other adults. It's time to stop that.
I used to wish my sister in laws a happy birthday every year until I realized they never wished me one.. even though my birthday is the same day as one sister in laws kid.. so now I don’t bother. Not going to wish a happy birthday to someone who forgets me every year 🤷♀️

Sometimes life gets busy and it is not intentional to leave someone out. One can sense the vibe and depending on that I would get them something as usual or not. Otherwise... Just match the energy and take this chance to save your time and do not bother.

@Ella first time I've heard this. Pretty much every adult I know gets presents for other adults on their birthdays
My in laws for got my birthday in 2023 it did annoy me as it was my 40th that year but my birthday is at a silly time of the year as it's on 26th December x
no i’m way too petty, if she wished me happy birthday i would get her a gift for hers, but the fact they’ve just forgotten would make me forget them next year. you’d think your brother/sister would have mentioned it to their partner at least
