Hey thank you for your reply ❤️ that’s the exact same one I have seen second hand. And it looks new! I was thinking the same the prices are crazy! Xx
The travel system is about the only thing we’ve bought brand new because we want to use it for second baby too. We made the mistake of going to Mamas and Papas and falling in love with everything but we’re so happy with our choice - the Ocarro. They also do a service at Mamas and Papas so when the wheels need changing they can sort it for us and fo a safety check. One thing I would say is don’t buy a car seat second hand, you don’t know if it’s been in a crash which could affect the safety features of it. I’d recommend going into a shop to have a feel of what you want, and discuss the different types with an assistant (we had no idea the wheel size was actually important to us as I plan on taking baby on long dog walks on rough terrain!) x
@Levina it’s honestly lovely in person, my mother in law actually bought our pram for us and i had tried out a few but found this the easiest and most lightweight despite it being a cheaper option! as long as it does the job id rather the extra money to keep for other things!! xx
@Shaelyn I’ve just been looking at them on the website! And it’s catching my eye. And for the price I may as well buy a new one Love the colour too! I just hope they come back into stock soon xx
@Harriet hey thanks for you reply ❤️ I most definitely do need to go and take a look there is so many to choose from I’ve found this the hardest 😂. X
we got the mb450i from mybabiie, it was very budget friendly because i insisted we got a travel system brand new since everything else (cot, dresser etc.) was second hand, and i am so so in love with it
@Shaelyn wow I’ve never seen a bundle this cheap - how do you find the car seat? I was also wondering about getting buggy second hand and car seat new.
@Kathryn it was super simple to install in the car and is very lightweight, not bulky at all which is great for me as i’m just wee🤣also very easy to pop on the wheels x
We got a second hand Occaro from a friend and it's been amazing for our first & being reused for number 2 too. Marketplace have some good deals and you can get it professionally cleaned too - ours looked brand new! Make sure you get a brand new infant carrier though and do some research on car seat safety so you don't end up with a poorly fitted car seat when baby is here because it comes with a cute looking travel system. Car Seat Safety UK is a great FB page to learn some bits if you don't already know. I was none the wiser with my first! X
I had a second hand bugaboo with my first and it was great!
We’ve been gifted a secondhand uppababy vista system and maxi-cosi isofix system that goes with it, which would be £1.5K new and we’d never be able to afford ourselves. Instead we’re getting it professionally cleaned and getting a new baby car seat for safety reasons. £200 instead! There’s a lot of pressure when we’re pregnant to get baby the best and so, SO much marketing designed to pull in your emotions. I would say if you can afford and want to do new, great. But if your circumstances are different, you shouldn’t feel guilty about going secondhand. I’d just echo that unless you’re confident you know where it’s come from, it’s best to get a new car seat for safety reasons; I’d it’s damaged or has been involved in a crash, it’s not safe.
i got the panorama xti from smyths, it was only 300 pound for everything and it’s beautiful and easy to push/put up and down. the reviews are really good on it too. prams get worn out so easily it didn’t make sense to me to pay 1,400 etc🥰x
