Need advice

My son will be 11 months next week and I feel I should start weaning him off his formula schedule. (I use WIC to get his formula and they don’t provide enough for a month with his current schedule) He gets 4 bottles of 4-5 oz a day. I’m not sure how to change it. Do I give him more oz but less frequent?

following for advice as well! My daughter just turned 11 months and she’s been self weaning a bit but we’re waiting to introduce whole milk until her bday. she eats 3 solid meals a day and a snack & she can usually go 4-5 hours in between bottles so about 4 bottles of 5oz (6oz for the first one) so i’m curious how it’ll work with the schedule for whole milk

I used to work with babies from 6 weeks to 18 months and we always suggested weaning them off little by little. My pediatrician also said it was fine to introduce whole milk at 11 months so that’s what we started a few days ago! You can always start off with half an ounce or an entire ounce of whole milk. And you can pick which bottles throughout the day you want to do with whole milk. I started with 1 ounce of whole milk with every bottle. She has 3 bottles during the day of 6.5 and I do 1 oz of whole milk for them. So far, she hasn’t noticed a difference! But in a week, I’ll go up to 2 oz of whole milk. I think it just depends on how your baby likes it/how they react to it. I know there’s also alternatives sauce as ripple/almond/toddler milk.

@Marisol do you mix the whole milk and formula?
