We both have regular jobs but luckily we can mostly WFH which helps a lot with this stuff! School hours are a pain in the arse, honestly!
As above, it’s a total pain in the arse, as there really aren’t many jobs that will be around school hours unless they are school based but even then if it’s a different school to your kid you are going to struggle to be there on time. And don’t even get me started on then trying to cover for all the school holidays and inset days! Something part time could work though, many cleaning jobs only require a few hours per morning.
I work in as school as an Art Technician and my partner is a Nursery Teacher.I think working in a school is the best setting for your child's pick ups and holiday. Unfortunately the pay is not the best but you can always grow in schools if you want to... I am due in March and starting this job in a school in September last year, not sure if I would be able to come back due to my expiring contract but definitely applying again in schools after maternity
Most of the jobs in the education field, TA , Receptionist etc. The pay probably won't be the best, but in terms of the hours it's the best option x
