Hi!!! So, there is a chance you just need to adjust your diaper, or size back down. Typically, if it's leaking out the top, the diaper needs to be a little lower in the back and higher in the front. If you adjust it too much, it may leak out the back. Next, it sounds like you're using disposable diapers, this means there's 2 edges that keep in the liquid. Typically, one on the outside layer and one on the inside layer. After you have fastened the diaper, make sure it's in her creases in the front (not on her thighs), and turn her to the side a little stick your finger in the diaper by her hip and swoop it down to make sure both edges are flared out and not tucked in, do that on both sides and it should really help with leaking and blowouts. If you dont understand, I'd be willing to video chat and show you.
@Keylii thank you! I always make sure the gussets are out and her buttcrack is practically coming out the diaper, that’s why I put it higher in the back 🫠 I’m at a loss!
My baby is a little chunky and Millie moon never leaked for us. I’m sorry it’s not working for y’all, that’s a bummer. They are so easy to find in store. But I also use thrive market diapers for her and they’ve never leaked either! They are more expensive however. Definitely recommend tho.
@Alina gusset is a new word for me, never heard that before, thank you. Is she by chance a belly sleeper? Is that why it's leaking? I have heard that folding the diaper in the front, toward the belly, can help keep it in, but I never tried it because I learned about it after diapers. I believe if you angle the tabs up or down just a little, that can help with fit and maybe leakage. I just can't remember which direction, its been soo long since I've done it, and I can't remember which kiddo it helped with either.
Thrive market diapers
My baby is a chunk(90th percentile) and we like Huggies. We change pee diapers every 3-4 hours and he hardly has blowouts. We used honest at the start but the lack of the back flap would have him blowing out often.
I really like the Kirkland brand!
