Prams

Thos of you who have already brought your pram/travel system, what have you gone for and why? I really hated the one I had for my son so will be looking for a different one this time. Hoping for an all terrain one with good suspension, and one where the carry cot is approved for overnight sleep.

I’m planning on buying the Doona x which is a car seat that converts to a pram. I don’t really go on walks so l might not need a carry cot and l just need something stress free. I will probably buy a toddler pram with it

I bought a Cosatto Wow 2 bundle, two of my friends have them (and raved about them) and I have used the pram to push one of my friends kids at a community fair which was on an uneven grassy common so felt comfortable that it had the all terrain element covered. The carry cot is also approved for occasional overnight sleep. The acorn car seat that comes with it can also be attached to the pram base.

I’ve got the cosatto giggle 4 folds up nice and easy to fit in my car which is a golf so pretty small!

I've got the bababing Rafi 17pc 😊

I got the bugaboo fox 5! Approved for overnight sleeping (can buy a stand and it’s a wee bed!) and all terrain. I’m also a small gal so really wanted a lighter system and one where the bar goes low enough for me and also high for my tall partner. Honestly love it!

We have the maxi cosi adorra travel system, it’s really sturdy and the basket is huge. Maxi cosi are also known for high levels of testing on their car seats which was a major plus 😊

@Chelly just be weary that as it’s a car seat they can’t be in it for long. 30 mins max until they’re 4 weeks old, then 2 hours max.

I had a mamas and papas flip xt2 for our first baby and will use it again this time. We went on long country walks and it was fab, other than the basket is a soft material so stretched over time and can drag on the floor of overfilled.

I had the egg with my son it was too bulky we then got a doona and yo-yo for travels il probably just buy a bassinet for the yo-yo

I've got the babyzen yoyo with bassinet. Got a bargain secondhand on marketplace. I have a tiny car and it folds really small!

The bugaboo donkey 5.. we need a double due to having a toddler 😅

I found a place half hour away from me and they have new, ex display and pre loved prams. I bought an oyster 3 ex display for a lot cheaper than full price plus helps with January sales too! I thought after have I bought a pram too soon but can’t beat a sale 👌🏻 I bought a new car seat separately then just bought a carrycot and pushchair with foot muff and rain covers etc ex display x

We went and tested prams the other day at mamas and papas and our favourite was iCandy Peach Cerium, it felt so sturdy and perfect for all terrain. Although going to John Lewis next week to test some others

Egg 3.. It is sturdy and durable which we need as I often go back home to Cape Town. Will need this pram to last 🤭 We compared it to the Oyster (same company manufactures both) but you could obviously tell the difference. The Oyster was super flimsy and not as sleek. I suppose ALL brands are good enough. It just depends what you are willing to spend. I always said the travel system wasn’t something I was going to skimp on.
