placenta 12 week scan
I had my 12 week scan this week and was told my placenta was anterior. Is it too early to be told yet? Previous pregnancy I was told at 20 weeks
Did others get told at their scan?

@Jasmin oh wow! Didn’t think it could be this early. Dr google online kept saying from 18 weeks 😂
I've had a bunch of scans since then too and most of them have pointed out the anterior placenta, so I think Dr Google has it wrong hahaha.
Definitely not too early, most times they can tell from the dating scan. They also check blood flow between the placenta and baby at the 10-12w scan.

Not too early at all, mine was picked up at my viability scan at 7 weeks.
