Sick note
Today is the 7th day of me being sick . I have HG and called my ward to take me off this week however a colleague texted asking if I am coming to work today so I went to check my rota and realised they only took one day off . I have requested sick note from my Gp for tomorrow which is the 8th day of my absence however the sick note will be ready by 21/01/2024. Do I need to call the ward again for them to take me off or what do I need to do .

before you have a sick note you’re supposed to ring everyday and update until your sick note takes you off longer term. Call them again and give the dates of sick note and then pass the sick note along when you receive it.

Of course you need to tell work you won’t be in. When will the sick note be till? Just tell them the dates of your sick note and if you aren’t feeling better towards the end of your time off, keep getting it refreshed.
