First holiday.
Hello looking for some advice please. In September I have my first family holiday booked with my son, he will be 4 at the time of our holiday and we are still currently in the potty training process. Our holiday will be in Greece and will be on a plane. I’m a little anxious as it will be my sons first time on a plane, so just looking for any advice or suggestions on how to make our holiday and flight easier and more comfortable. Thank you.
Before the Trip: • Involve them in planning to build excitement. • Pack snacks, toys, headphones, and spare clothes in your carry-on. • Book direct flights and aisle seats if possible. At the Airport: • Arrive early to avoid stress. • Use play areas to keep them entertained. • Bring a lightweight stroller for convenience. On the Plane: • Dress them in layers and bring a travel pillow. • Offer snacks or drinks during takeoff/landing to ease ear pressure. • Rotate between toys, books, and screen time for entertainment. On Holiday: • Stick to their routine (meals and bedtime). • Plan activities they’ll enjoy, with rest breaks. • Keep snacks, sunscreen, and water handy. Preparation is key to a smooth and fun experience!
