Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair

It’s a long shot, but can anyone advise on your experience with the high chair. I’m still waiting on it to be delivered but we probably won’t use it just yet so might not know what issues there may be- I’ve bought the baby set and correct harness. Anyone who’s used it, all OK with your setup? Any other advice?

We love our Tripp Trapp, we started using it at 4 months. My husband set it up pretty quickly, no issues there. We also have the baby set with cushion, our girl sits comfortably and enjoys sitting to play and eat.

I got the cheaper alternative from hauck and it's absolutely fine, we've used it since she was a few weeks old

The Tripp Tripp is one of the best things we could have ever got. It’s honestly the best!!! He plays in it, eats, he watches me cook, he sits around the table with us.. it’s totally aesthetically pleasing 😍😍 I can’t recommend it enough!!! And couldn’t imagine my life without it now hahhaha The setup was super simple and quick (well my husband did it with no issues). It’s solid furniture :)

@Bela thank you, I haven’t bought the cushion yet. My baby will be 4.5 months when she starts sitting in it hopefully. Do you recommend I put the cushion in or is the seat itself OK? I’ve also seen a hack on TikTok to buy the ikea trofast storage boxes that can slide into the bottom to hold things which is so cool

@Shalomie thank you sounds promising 🙏🏽 I love that it can be used for years and years and hope my child enjoys it!

@inc I don't think you need the cushion, the chair seems comfortable without it. When I bought it is was on sale so I got it. Once it gets dirty and I have to wash it, I'll see if my daughter needs if not, I won't put it back! I love the storage hack idea!!

I never regretted investing in this. It's super easy to clean, has good movement and security for little one, and looks nice at the dinner table. I would just say that even though my LO is 90+ centile for height, at first the Tripp Trapp wouldn't get him high enough at the table (our dining table is a little higher than most as we're all on the tall side). It wasn't a big deal because in the early months we were mainly weaning him in the kitchen high chair anyway rather than at the dining table. Otherwise, have absolutely loved using this for food, arts and crafts, sensory play at the table, allsorts. I can see us using the Tripp Trapp for years to come so very good value. The Hauck and Kinderkraft alternatives fulfil the same function and save you a bit of money.

Love our chair too! It's pricey but amazing quality, easy to clean and my baby (93rd percentile) is very happy in it. We didn't get the tray and just slide our girl under our table, which works perfectly and makes meals feel like family time. I think we will get a huge amount of use out of it because you can use it into adulthood supposedly!
