First midwife appointment

Hey girls! I’ve got my first midwife appointment and the 12 week scan booked yesterday 🤰🏼🤰🏼 I was wondering for baby #2 the midwife appointment can be even longer then with your first appointment with baby #1? Is anyone in the known roughly how long that might take?

I was advised (my first pregnancy) that my first midwife appointment could be up to 2 hours… so I have no idea if that’s accurate or not but yeah! X

I’d imagine it may be a tiny bit longer as they’ll talk through your last pregnancy and birth and may have a few extra questions, but I don’t know from experience. My first midwife appointment was 1hr 30mins of talking and then I had to do my blood test, they struggled to get my blood so that took 45 minutes haha

So i had mine today and it took an hour. Routine questions, blood test and water sample. I actually had to take my LO with me because I didn't have a babysitter but they was fine with that. We just tried to get through it abit faster

Mine took 1.5 hours xx
