Some feeds he can be quick but then others can take forever or he’ll take a small amount then not take anymore. He does get hiccups quite a lot. We went to A&E about it at the beginning of the week and they did all checks on him and everything is fine and they couldn’t really understand why he didn’t take it either, x
For us, this turned out to be due to a milk allergy that was causing him pain/discomfort so he refused feeds because of that. I'm not saying this is necessarily the case for you but could be another possibility to consider
Is he taking a really long time to feed? Or leaking a lot on the bottle? Super burpy, gassy or hiccupy, or throws up a lot right after feeding? Those could be signs of a tongue tie or lip tie.. you can have your pediatrician or a lactation consultant check it out! My boy ended up having a tongue tie.. and feeding has been a real struggle, but we are getting it cut on Monday! Hopefully this makes if easier for both of us 🤞🏼
