Moving up an oz

How do I know when I need to move up an oz of formula? My 4 week old has between 3-4oz every 3-4 hours so I make up all bottles at 4oz, she usually doesn’t finish the whole bottle however she has drained all 4oz bottles over the last 24 hours. She seems satisfied and falls asleep afterwards and still goes about 3-4 hours between the feeds - do I need to move up an oz or not yet? X

If she seems satisfied and isn't looking for more food or wanting food sooner, I would just leave it at 4oz. X

I agree with Lauren’s comment if she’s not showing signs of hunger or the time between feeds isn’t getting shorter then leave as is but i also struggled with this and when my little girl started showing signs of being hungrier i started topping up the bottle before bed first as I found it made her go bit longer inbetween night feeds by an extra hour then would top up the odd bottle during the day then soon enough I noticed i was topping up every bottle basically filtered it in. if that makes sense. I think I will use this method every time shed grows xx

I was told that if they are finishing nearly all the bottle multiple times a day they are ready for the next oz they should always leave a little I’ve just moved my 5 week old up to 5oz as she was finishing every 4oz bottle xx
