I’m negative and my lo is positive. It won’t affect this pregnancy at all. It just means you need anti D injections because it can increase chances on miscarriages later on because once your blood mixes with your babies blood, without the anti D injections your body will make antibodies that attack the antigens in the positive blood which can affect future pregnancies. If you have any bleeding or knocks or bumps after 12 weeks you will need to call your midwives because you will probably have to have an anti d injection. I had a haematoma so had two extra anti d injections when I had bleeding on top of the two that you already have (one at 28 weeks and one after the birth).

Hey, this is my 3rd pregnancy and second baby (first pregnancy loss) for sure they told you but you will need anti D injection in specific times during pregnancy and after birth or a loss too. And they will check the baby's blood type too as soon as they born, usually straight from the umbilical cord when you give birth. I did put this on my birth plan and talked to the staff too and they still forgot to do it so they did next day squeeze blood out of my baby's heel :( now I know its actually nore accurate than the cord blood. Anyway. If you have any accidents or hit, trauma in the belly, or any bleeding, you need to have anti D injection again, not have issues. Now at my second baby during pregnancy they checked my blood if its been mixed with my firt born and luckily come back negativ so nothing special to do just the usual injections. If I would have mixed blood than its a very serious situation.. so its a long answer but apart from this, you feel nothing different. You can text me if you want

I'm negative and baby is positive. I've had to have anti-D 3 times so far due to light bleeding (but believe it was actually cervical) or a test that requires it and it's honestly fine. The worst thing tho is the wait; I had to wait 6 hours once for it to be brought from the lab 😩 did get a free hospital sandwich! The most important things are avoiding being bumped or knocked. One of my small bleeds was just after being jabbed in the stomach by a Christmas tree stump. We've also abstained from sex as I have a sensitive cervix anyway so really don't fancy a 6hr trip to MAU every time we do it....

Hi I'm negative and my first born son is positive. I got my injections and he got his and we are both fine. Now I'm pregnant with our second and received my anti D and our wee one will receive her Jag when born. I never had any complications personally but understand you need to be careful with any bumps. X

I am negative and both my daughter and the baby I’m currently pregnant with are positive. Nothing to worry about you have a anti d injection at about 26 weeks. You just have to be more cautious if you fell and knocked your bump you’d have to go to hospital to get checked and have another injection xx

It's good to hear from some of you having a second, I was a bit worried it would be a big issue with a subsequent pregnancy
