I use my chair every night. It’s definitely worth getting one. I didn’t go expensive just brought one off marketplace but definitely worth it
@Erin @Dani it’s so helpful to hear that, sounds like it’s worth the purchase! I have checked marketplace for one but haven’t seen any in my area, will keep looking 👀
I didn’t go expensive just an ikea poang rocking chair. And it does the trick!
I bought one and never actually used it until now (my daughters 2). We cuddle after her bath and do song time and then story time before bed. I never used it to nurse x
I got a beanbag over a chair cheaper and when they start moving around if they run into it then it’s not gonna hurt
I have this one from Amazon, it’s not washable so I use a throw over it and it’s sooo comfy, it’s even big enough for me to have my legs up on it. When I brought it I felt like I didn’t really need it but now that LO is in his own room it’s super handy to be able to sit while waiting for him to go to sleep. I don’t really use it much tho. If he was still waking for night feeds I’d probably use it more but he’s not so I don’t x https://amzn.eu/d/fCHlzHy
I used ours for every feed and contact naps! My only regret was not buying one sooner!
I’ve used a rocking chair for both kids so far. I regretted not getting one sooner for my first. Only thing I recommend. If you’re gonna have one with a foot rest, get one that also moves when you rock. Not a stationary foot rest.
My chair saved me middle of the night feeds. Dozing off felt safer in my chair
Buy it! If you’ve got the budget for it, you won’t regret it. Mine has been through both my babies now, it’s used every single day, multiple times a day. It’s worth investing in something comfortable! I’ve easily had my moneys worth, and ours was about £400 It’s used for breastfeeding, settling to sleep, nap time, story time, cuddles, resettling at night, my husbands ‘I’ll see to the baby but actually just have a nap’ spot 🤣
I think I got a nice boucle one from Amazon for around £100 but used it every night with my first born and will do with my second, when I can get some room in his bedroom!
You can definitely find cheaper online
We use ours everyday! Mainly for nursing before naps and bedtime x
I got mine for free at a pregnancy center second-hand and I use it every single day. My LO is 6 months and since I’ve used it since she got here it’s the easiest way to put her to sleep.

I've managed to get a second hand one (in spotless condition) for £100 on Marketplace as we definitely didn't have the budget for a brand new one, but I thought it would be so handy for night feeds, getting baby back to sleep, reading books etc! Definitely worth having a look to see what's available on marketplace in your local area!😊
We never used one, I just sat in the bed for feeding and comforting. But if you are set on having one check out facebook market
I have one from tuti bambini. I did find it in a local baby shop, so I was able to test how comfortable it was. I then ordered when it was on sale as I agree they can be quite expensive. But the one I have can be converted into a rocker or a normal chair, so I didn't mind paying as I can reuse it in the house even when it's not needed for the nursery x
Ikea poang chair (regular one, not the rocking one) bounces easily, universally comfortable, and has a great angle for nursing infants. I bought a 2000$ chair but I think I would have been just as happy with the Ikea chair
I got a tutti bambini one on fb marketplace for £40. Worth looking for secondhand options 🙂
Honestly, our rocking chair was our most used item out of everything we bought, I'm so glad we went for something really decent because I have spent literally thousands of hours in that chair at all hours of the day and night for the last 2 and a half years! 100% essential item in my case!
We use our rocking chair every day for hours on end! I wish I’d spent more on a better one
Use mine all the time, so comfy x
I didn’t end up buying one until my son was 1 (for his reading area) and now SO wish I had of bought it earlier. It’s so comfy and nice to lay back in, I can imagine it’d of been really helpful in the newborn days! So I’d say they’re defos worth it personally! And then can be used as a reading chair in a story corner of their room!
