Milk or illness

Hi, this weekend she’s had a tummy bug and viral cold infection. She was sick a few times but we think mainly due to her cough as she was being sick when coughing hard. She has had diarrhoea though Saturday we had about 5 lots then only 2 Sunday and 1 yesterday and today. Been giving her an extra bottle of milk mid- late afternoon as she’s not eating at the minute and we’re mixing formula and cows milk and gradually increasing the cows milk. Just wondering if it’s a dairy issue causing the diarrhoea as she’s sometimes sick if she has too much dairy in the day. She was a really refluxy baby until around 8/9 months! Just not sure if coincidence with the tummy bug or if the milk could be irritating her. She also hasn’t eaten for about 4/5 days now apart from the odd melty puff and trying to get fluids in her then we have good bit of drink in the day then she has a really watery poo and it’s hard to know how much she’s kept in! Is it this consistency as she’s not eaten? Just at a loss with knowing what to do I kept her off nursery Monday incase and now not sure what to do about tomorrow! Sorry for long post just hoping for some advice🥰

Hey!! Not advice but we have literally had the exact same - it started when I put some cows milk in with his formula so thought it was that making him throw up but DR said coincidence as is fine with dairy. He didn’t poo for a few days and they said because nutrients going else where but then had a few funny nappies! I think again with the milk going back to to much to keep hydrated in top of virus it’s a lot on their tummies! We did a bit of food again today for first time but he would only take yoghurt (maybe not idea but whatever haha) sooo hard!!!

@Harriet do you think it could be the amount of milk did you find it when you increased the cows milk more?? I’m going to try just formula tomorrow and see how that goes and if that stays settles maybe I need to try some oat milk?! Just hard to know whether it’s allergies or tummy bug or quantity etc!!

It was our first time doing cows milk in the bottle (he’s had it in food) and only did 1oz so hard to know if it’s all a coincidence! Haven’t tried again since he’s been unwell 🫠

@Harriet ahh that’s a shame bless him!! Maybe that was a coincidence! We’ve been mixing for around 1.5-2 weeks but only the last few days started doing more cows milk than formula and that’s when this has all started so making me wonder ! Hope he’s better soon💗

So hard when things over lap isnt it! Same with you :)
