I never got anything for small holidays growing up but always got sad seeing that my friends did and thought it was so special so I make a small basket for every holiday for my daughter even if it’s mostly small target dollar spot items

Yeah cause it’ll be fun 🤷🏼‍♀️ and my almost 5 yr old is loving the idea of the day. I didn’t tell her about it so idek how she knows what it is

My 8 year old was really into it last year so will probably get a balloon, card and chocolate for her. My oh and I don’t really bother apart from a card.

Always, I make them a basket with a card and balloons and little chocolates, doesn't cost must but it's the thought. 🥰

@Rachel yes this ! My mum never bothered and I never cared but I always thought it was cool , and ontop of that as an adult I enjoy gift giving , I’ve been putting together a valentines basket for my boys are and I’m just getting odd comments from people- now typing this I’m thiking they wouldn’t say the same to a dad doing it for their daughter 🤔

@R 🪬 I found some Valentine’s Day chocolate coins( love tokens ) and some love heart rubber duckies today , was a good day 😂

Definitely wouldn’t! Nobody’s ever said anything to me about it (and I give her little baskets for every holiday) and I’ve never thought it was weird for anyone else to do it. If you like it and your kids like it, there’s no harm!

I’m gonna make him up a gift basket with pink and red paint, other craft stuff (for Valentine’s Day crafts I have planned for us) and some chocolates maybe a stuffy :) I am debating on giving it to him on the 1st of Feb so he has all the stuff to do his crafts and activities or giving him the chocolates on Valentine’s Day specifically

My parents got me a mug and chocolates for Valentine’s Day last year and I’m almost 30 and married 😂

This year I’m doing a Valentine’s Day “advent” type of thing and writing 1 thing I love about them on a card every day 2/1-2/14 and putting them in little mailboxes! 🥰

No I celebrate w my hubby and my gfs. My single gfs 😂 we have a girls night that weekend, on the Sat night since Fri is Vday. Hubby doesn’t get me anything I don’t want anything he just gets me 1 rose and takes me out for a date which is what I want over any gift.

My go-to holiday gift is a book or craft

My parents always got me candy, a balloon, and a stuffed animal so I will be doing the same for my daughter

I grew up getting a small gift bag and a card for Valentine’s Day. My husband grew up getting nothing and was told he had to have a girlfriend to get any kind of gift on Valentine’s Day. As a couple, we usually just planned a small date night. But last year I got my daughter a small gift and then my husband came home and surprised us with a small gift for each of us 🥺

We don't celebrate commercial holidays, but we try to celebrate the wheel of the year. Which averages out to a celebration every 6 weeks. We plan a meal, dessert, & either a craft or special field trip.

@Rachel OMG! That’s the cutest. I love it 🥰

I write my kids a valentines card listing things I love about them. I lay out a Valentine’s Day hearts covered table cloth, and the cards at their seats with a chocolate rose for each of them to come down to.

@Kate do you have any pics ?? Could do with some inspo , sounds adorable
