Gestational diabetes

I personally was able to pick up my glucose monitor the day I got the call as hospital had already put it aside for me. With growth scan I actually had already had one the day I did the glucose test due to being high risk pregnancy, and then my next one is actually on Thursday as I was already scheduled for routine scan from 28,32 & 36 weeks x

@Chantelle thank you! I'm a high risk pregnancy however my consultant is refusing a 28 week scan even though my midwife doesn't agree at all. I'm wondering if I might get one now as I've just been diagnosed today xx

Not a problem. So odd that your consultant is refusing a 28 week scan. As you say hopefully now you have been diagnosed with GD that will hopefully schedule some growth scans soon for you. Xx

Had the test at 26 weeks, took them a while to diagnose as was over Christmas so I had to keep chasing them. Got glucose monitor about 2.5 weeks later and I’ve got growth scan at 32 weeks which is next week. Then I will have another at 36

I was diagnosed at 24 weeks, but was given my machine before 24 in order to test to see if I had it due to taking meds so unable to fast and do traditional GTT. But I was given more equipment like extra lancets and testing strips a few days after being diagnosed and a letter for my GP for the repeat prescription. I then had a growth scan and consultant appt at 28 weeks.
