HV review

Twice, 6 week check and she came a few weeks ago to see my daughter and it wasn't even the same person! In my area they have a text number and a help line you can ring though. We were told that she won't be back to see her until she's two. They should send you a letter for a home visit or you have to go and see them in clinic. Mine was a home visit but it depends on your area x

Last hv appointment was at 6 weeks and she recommended going to the weight drop in at 10 weeks (gp check at 8w so baby was weighed fortnightly) as baby was slow to gain. At that 10w weight check we were told to weigh weekly (then twice weekly the following week by the infant feeding team) as baby had dropped centiles and her tongue tie was found. The weight clinics are run by health visitors so we saw a hv at least weekly from 10w to just over 4 months, then fortnightly 5-7mo, then monthly 7-9mo. I got the letter inviting us to the 9-12mo review through just over a week ago with the original appointment end of this month (we had to change it so now it's end of Feb).

Too many to count. Got a visit every other day from the HV from day 10 because my lg was losing weight so was having her weighed what felt like everyday and being told that I wasn’t feeding her properly. I went dairy free and she started gaining weight and I never had the HV back again. I went to weigh clinics once a month to have her weighed up until she was 6 months and then I was told the next review will be when she’s 10 months. Just so happened as that review came up we moved to a different area, oops😂

We only had one at 6 weeks and then one more a couple of weeks ago, the 9-12m review. The next formal meeting isn't until just after they turn 2 (two-year check), unless they have any problems at the 9-12m one. I don't think it's mad that it's so sparce especially for new mums as a lot of us don't have any clue what should be a concern and what's normal!

I've seem them regularly however we have had quite a few issues, colic, nursing strike, cmpa, my last app was in Oct and that's the longest I've been without seeing them however my sisters LG is 7 weeks older than mine and she hasn't seen them since the home visits. I've just got my ages and stages questionnaire through for the 1 year review that we had already booked in at the end of feb when she will be 11 months so hopefully you hear from them soon to arrange that.

Same I haven’t seen them since he was 3m old that was the only time and I’ll be seeing them again Monday

Same here, we were told we could call if we needed them but other than that they said they wouldn’t see us until 9-12 months for their 1 year review

So bizarre how different everyone's experiences are!! I suppose so much depends on where we live and how good support for the area is. I will be waiting for them to contact me in the next couple of weeks and if I hear nothing I will give them a call. Thanks girls ☺️

Same here, my health visitor came home I think when my baby was 1 month old and then never been contacted again.
