Rich life tip- struggling with identity

Almost 4 years into motherhood and I’m finally feeling like myself. Did anyone else have an identity crisis following having their child? It’s so easy to lose your sense of self when your constantly pouring into other people’s cups. Tips on finding yourself again. 1. What hobbies did you love as a child, seek those out. For me, it was painting and photography. 2. Self care…this one is important. Small acts like brushing your teeth, hair, and putting on new clothes can be one of the hardest parts of your day…make a timer to get these done. If you physically feel better, it’ll help your mental. 3. Find support. Feeling like you’re the only one struggling can push yourself further down. Find community on Facebook, Instagram, etc. I really appreciate my April 2020 babies group on Facebook, they have been beyond supportive. 4. Journal, simply writing about your day, how you feel, things that are going on in the world can help your wondering mind and can help you reflect as well. 5. Find NEW hobbies! Switch up everyday routines with a splash of new. Figuring out what you love to do OUTSIDE of motherhood is important. 6. Remember, you aren’t just a mom. You are your own person as well. Perhaps a sister, wife , etc… but most importantly you’re you. Don’t forget that. Drop your tips for finding self again or words of support for those on the journey ❤️
