Will pregnancy test strips give a positive result prior to your period?

In my experience with my first, yes. I tested positive with a VERY faint line at 8dpo and it got darker every two days. (I tested everyday lol ) Strip tests are more sensitive than digital.
Thank you both. I tested today morning, and it was negative. My period is not due until Monday, but looks like the odds are not in my favor.
