Toilet problems

My little one will not go for a poop! Not even with her nappy on she’ll say it hurts to much we have give her everything possible to try and get her to go to the toilet but we are not on day 5 of nothing!! Previously the health visitor has phoned me with a few suggestions these are not working anymore she’s sussed them! I am going to make an appointment again on Monday with her to see what she suggests! But in the mean time has anyone else been through this than have a breakthrough it’s driving me insane because she literally needs the toilet!

Did you try the glycerin suppositories?

We went 10 days over Christmas with no poo. We had to go take him to docs and he was given a laxative. Exact same thing, he says he hurts too much. No advice unfortunately as we are still having issues now.

We’ve had the same since being toilet trained, she had a poo that hurt now she withholds 🫠 I ended up on day 7 giving a suppository and no give her a sachet a movicol every other day until she can get out her head it doesn’t hurt 😢

I read that it’s common for children to say it hurts when they first start to use the potty because it’s a completely different feeling to pooing in their nappy? My LO said that it hurt when she was first potty trained and didn’t go for about three days, so I ended up just giving her some apricots and raisins so I knew she’d need to go sooner rather than later. When she bolted to her usual pooing spot (behind the chair) I picked her up, pulled her pants down and put her on the potty. She was actually quite scared and tried to get off a couple of times, but I held her hand and got her favourite toy for her and she finally went. When she did and we shouted and praised her tonnes and jumped around like we’d won the lottery 😂 we did it a couple more times and ever since then, she’s had no issues.
