My daughter has been breastfeeding for 20 months and she’s NEVER taken to a bottle, always refused and would get so upset about it. She much preferred using a straw cup for her cows milk or my breast milk xx
At 12 months old little one doesn’t need formula anymore. Not sure if you are UK or USA based - but it’s recommended to transition them to cows milk or milk alternative. You should aim for a straw cup not a bottle due to baby now having teeth. You might find your little one is more receptive It is fairly common for EBF BABIES to reject bottles so you’re not alone.
Well done for breast feeding for so long that’s incredible 🤩 Id avoid introducing a bottle at 12months and maybe offer a straw/cup. He might just be a small baby my nephew was as long as he’s following his centile I wouldn’t worry just try offering lots of full fat diary in his diet, he can have cows milk now. Maybe offer it in a weighted straw cup I used yoghurt on the tip to get my son to suck it when I transitioned him off the bottle at 12months. Going onto a bottle now with a teat wouldn’t be doing you or him any favours in the future. I would continue to breast feed and maybe offer a bit of cows milk in weighted a straw cup if worried about supply xx
