NSP vs Mater

Hi all, FTM anon I’m located in Sydney CBD and am tossing up between Mater vs NSP. Had our first appointment with private OB who recommended NSP since they have more double bed rooms making it comfortable for my partner plus the proximity to NS public is something worth considering. Had my heart set on Mater initially since it’s closer to us (7 mins vs 15 min drive) but I’m so confused now. Would love to hear your thoughts x

I delivered at NSP in 2023 when I was living in the northern beaches and it was phenomenal. I had an induction which ended in emergency caesarean. My midwives during labour stayed back to see my baby delivered and popped in every day to make sure I was ok. Their care was outstanding. We now live on the central coast but making the trip and will be delivering our second through NSP again.

I would recommend to visit the hospital, they show you around and you can ask questions. That made our decision very easy (and tbh; clearly not mater)
