Baby monitors

Hey Ladies I hope you're all well? Just a question for those who have given birth, what baby monitors are we using? We have tried a vtech one, but it's just not working for us, so we are on the lookout for another one! 💗

We just have a cheap one from argos. Works brilliant xx

I haven’t given birth yet but we have ours set up it’s an arenti one and it’s so good you can see the temperature, play white noise and the picture on it is so good, it also has an app so my boyfriend can see while he’s at work !

@Kirstie that's great, can you send me the name please? 😊x

@megs wonderful thank you. And how is the connectivity? The one that I have you can connect to a screen and the phone, I use the screen but it keeps disconnecting which is SO annoying x

@R 🪬 so far so good we live in a 4 floor house and Ive tested it on each floor aha seems to work well

I have this one.. Babysense 5.5” 1080p Full HD Split-Screen Baby Monitor, Video Baby Monitor with Camera and Audio, Two PTZ Cameras, RGB Night Light, 300m Range, Two-Way Audio, 4x Zoom, 5000mAh Battery https://amzn.eu/d/hN3zvw6 We put one upstairs and one downstairs. Really easy to use! You can use also as a split screen if you want both cameras on. We bought this tripod to screw the camera onto so we can use the camera anywhere! Victiv 68 inch/ 173cm Phone Tripod Stand, Selfie Stick Tripod for Filming with Remote &Smartphone Holder, UPGRADE Foldable Camera Tripod for iphone 15/14/13/12/12 pro/11/11pro/8/7, Samsung, Huawei https://amzn.eu/d/clJ3lW6 The camera has the screw part underneath it, to be able to use with a tripod. I hope this helps 😊

@Kirstie thanks Kirstie 💜

We used vtech x

We actually haven’t bought one yet so thank you for asking this :) We figured that for at least the first 6 months, she will be asleep in the crib next to us or in the room with us. We didn’t see the point in buying one just yet as she won’t be left by herself at any point. But would be good to get recommendations for when do need to buy one

@Donna Woods Agreed, people I know tend to use one from 6 months as that's when baby might be left alone 😊 x

@Alex which vtech one?

@Donna Woods that's a good point Donna. What are you thinking to do in terms of day time naps? We are about to move house but currently we are in a smaller space and when my partner works from home he's in the living room so baby has been taking naps in the bedroom, however, he doesn't like napping during the day LOL

My boy is 12 weeks and he is on his own as I type this.. he is sound asleep. Can hear him snoring on the monitor..🤣🤣.

@R 🪬 She naps in the same room that I am in or I baby wear atm. She is only 13 days old though. I’m just not comfortable having her in a room alone currently

Angelcare is fab x

@Donna Woods congratulations 🎊 how is she sleeping? And how was your birth?. I get that, have you looked at baby monitors for when you're ready?

@Racel thanks Racel, will look into that x

@Kirstie he loves his sleep clearly! My boy LOVES sleeping at night time but hates the days, ill take that LOL x

I used a ring doorbell camera for ages for my toddler as it was super clear and I could check in from anywhere but it did use lots of my phones battery and data. Now he's older I use a vtech one but went for the fm signal or whatever it is because its more reliant and less easy to infiltrate than WiFi ones. Will probably use the doorbell one again for my January baby when she's old enough to go in another room :)
