Fussy eating leading to tummy pain and constipation

Was wondering if anybody has any advice or has experienced anything similar to me; I’m running out of ideas 😭 ; my two year old little girl is extremely fussy with her eating- she will only eat things like pasta , rice noodles etc and for the life of me won’t eat a single fruit or vegetable; meal times are always hard for us… in turn this has led to her constantly complaining of a tummy ache and struggling to go to the toilet. We saw a GP who recommended lactulose which worked for abit but now she hasn’t gone toilet for the last 4 days and I’m really getting worried… it may be worth noting she is currently potty training however she would still go in a nappy before at the very least… I’m just running out of options of how to help my poor girl 😣 she’s becoming petrified of going toilet and is constantly saying her bum hurts her

Following because my little girl is having the same issues

Our little girl is really fussy too, the only thing we have found helped is all consistently sitting at the table eating the exact same meals and just keep putting different things on the table for her to explore. She’s finally eating apples now after consistently putting them on the table, and not making a fuss if she doesn’t want to try it or doesn’t like it. It’s such hard work and completely draining when they have constipation but won’t eat anything new. Our daughter is on lactose twice a day to help but hoping in time, we can come off it. She won’t eat vegetables but will eat apples and bananas. She loves pasta so we just do pasta most nights with a variety of different sauces for her to try and she will eat spaghetti bolognese. I know exactly how you feel. Our GP said she can have up to 10ml of lactulose twice a day, she has 5ml twice a day at the moment but he did recommend 7.5ml twice a day. Hope that helps a libecaus

It was absolutely nothing fancy btw, just pasta because we know she likes it, chopped tomatoes and cucumber, homemade chips, garlic bread, things like that. My focus is getting her to try new things, then I’ll work on what is nutritious for her. She tried a tomato and didn’t like it, and is yet to try the cucumber but I live in hope 🤣 xxx
