Try not to overthink it. I think it’s better to start being prepared. I’m 19+4 and we started buying bits around 14 weekish and just keep added bits as and when we see something. I’m sure everything will be fine 😊 xxx
I have with both my babies (due May) waited til 20 weeks. Keep what you’ve got, wait for your scan, then keep buying from there 🥰x
It depends on you. I was living with my parents when I have my girly and they are very superstitious about certain things and buying things before 24wks was one of them. When me and partner did buy stuff it wasn’t allowed in the house and had to be stored at my grandparents. We just bought things as we saw them and liked them. We didn’t think it’s was going to effect anything. What will happen will happen regardless on when you start buying things. It was only my parents superstition not mine x
Its completely up to you, I personally told everyone after a few days of finding out around 5 weeks and then literally had nursery done and lots of things bought when I was about 16 week. I personally believe if something is going to happen it will happen regardless of what you do. Good luck 😘
I started decorating the nursery already and buying clothes for my baby girl. My husband and I first decide to take it easy as it is too early yet, but we are só excited that it’s hard to not dream about it all day. Plus there’s still some discounts for furniture that are good to use now. So dont feel guilty and do what you want
This is my first and I ordered my nursery furniture and pram at around 16/17 weeks as we wanted to take advantage of the Jan sales but either way I’d have done it early. I’m with the other girls, whatever will happen will happen regardless of whether you’ve got the furniture or not! Enjoy it, it’s a lovely experience 🥰I have my 20 week scan tomorrow
I’m currently 21 weeks with a little boy and if I’m completely honest… there’s only a few more bits for us to get (main nursery furniture and travel system)! We started buying as soon as we had our 1st scan at 6 weeks(private) as we wanted to be prepared and spread the cost! We are also hoping to be moving house before baby’s here so wanted to be prepared for little man but also have a nice home! X
I bought stuff before 12 weeks with my first. Whatever will happen will happen, buying or not buying stuff won’t make a difference:)
