Best newborn nappies

Anyone have recommendations on the nest newborn nappies in the UK? I'm trying to not go for the pamper brands as I heard that leakage happens and it might have other chemicals in them. I've been recommended a brand called peaches and going to order the trial pack. Anyone have any other recommendations?

I highly recommend the Aldi nappies

Pura or mama bamboo. Honestly mama bamboo have the best absorbency. We still use both (I get pura if I run out of mama bamboo cause you can get them in the shops). We do a subscription service and also get wipes from there (they are so thick and amazing) and its great cause you don’t have to worry. You can get trial packs for both. Honestly though we have had a handful of leaks with them and when we have had a leak it was usually because it was time to change size!

Lidl lupilu for day and pampers for night

Lidl Lipilu are pretty good and cheap but I felt that my girl could feel when she was wet so I only used them at home when I could change her any time. I love Mum&You, they are fantastic

I personally loveee Asda’s little angels. Never had a problem with them apart from one leak when i forgot to pull the wings out😂🤦🏻‍♀️. I paid like £2.60 for a pack of 70 so fairly cheap too, definitely a favourite for us

Aldi are great

I know you used you don’t want to go for Pampers, however we’ve found these are the best ones for us. We’ve tried Aldi, Fred and Flo and Asda Little Angels but we’ve always come back to Pampers and they’ve not disappointed so far😊

Thanks all! Great input, will make a list :)

Pampers were the best when he was in size 1. After size one I changed brand and used aldi mamia nappies

If you’re worried about chemicals have you considered cloth? For even past the newborn stage? I used NB disposables then I jumped to osfm cloth which was the last time he sized up. It’s adjustable. And I don’t run out, I don’t have to keep buying. And I never got any blowouts in cloth whereas sposies I did. It’s rare that cloth gives blowouts because they have real elastics compared to cheap thin stringy ones on sposies

Mamia from Aldi, they’re not expensive as pampers and they’re great🙌🏽 I’ve always used it for my baby, and now with the ‘pants’ even better 😊

Been using Aldi but recently got a trial pack of Peachies. Mostly been using them at night and haven’t had any leaks so far

@Kellie thats actuallt a good shout I used bambino mio reusables up until our daughter was 8 month-ish (she outgrew them) I do think its good to have disposables to start also because you need to get into a routine with washing them and you are still recovering from birth and don’t beed the extra washing!

@Kelly the Bambino’s are sized? Mine were osfm so lasted him until 2.5yr when he trained
