Working mums

I'd really like to be more ambitious with my career but my current job gives me flexibility, so I am reluctant to leave. Anyone have experience with how to tackle this?! I want my career to be fulfilling but also want to be there for my kids. Is that even possible?! 😳

Take the flexibility. This time with your kids will pass. You’ll never get these years back with them. The years will pass quickly and then you’ll be able to pursue your career with ambition. What’s your career? Maybe you could do your own business which gives a lot more flexibility if you are disciplined to follow a schedule.

Thanks Kat. I hear that, its a good perspective. I'd love to start my own business but don't know how to start and it would likely mean not earning much to start.

I think it depends on the line of work itself. I do know of many women at the peak of their careers who can also command flexibility at work just because of seniority but then they take time to get to that position which means starting family late which has issues in its own right.
