We don’t use regular detergents because in the US, they’re almost all poison at this point, including the baby ones and the sensitive skin ones unfortunately. We use Molly Suds or borax/Castille soap/white vinegar.
We use Dreft newborn liquid detergent sensitive skin hypoallergenic for the baby and Tide Free and Gentle for everyone else. My oldest has eczema, so we have scent booster sprinkles we use on special occasions for me and my fiance.
I can’t even use our regular detergent. So I still use either baby or sensitive skin dye free.
We started out with sensitive skin and now using any regular detergent with the brand Arm and Hammer . He’s a month old and so far, it’s going good!
Soda and white vinegar 🙂
We started out with sensitive skin (dye free) detergent, but then sampled a few of her clothes in our regular detergent to see if she’d break out from them. We are fortunate that we can just use our regular detergent now. My nephew breaks out from anything that isn’t for sensitive skin though, so it just depends on the kid.
