Dummy help

My baby only takes to Mam bottles, but I am struggling to find a dummy that he takes to. I have tried different types but no luck. When he wakes in the night he has the bottle but not always for food. I need to find a dummy with a similar teet to a Mam bottle

My advice avoid Dummies as causes gas and colic and further more causes more problems . But off course upto you

Have you tired the MAM dummies ??

Aren’t the MAM dummies the same?

My baby only takes mam bottles but hates the mam Dummies as they're a different shape. The only ones my boy will take are the tommee tippee ones

Why do you want them to have a dummy?

She said he's waking in the night but not always for food so I'm assuming to give him some comfort? 🙂

If he doesn’t take to a dummy then that’s not a problem. But as I think he’s looking for comfort to settle back down I wondered if there was a dummy I hadn’t come across. I’m by no means forcing him to have one

My baby takes Mam bottles and we got her bibs dummy! The anatomical nipple shape and she loves it

I could have bet my entire maternity pay on the fact there would have been a comment about giving your baby a dummy 🙄 As you aren’t asking for anyone’s opinions on dummies in general, to answer your question, the mam dummies are the same teat as the bottles so this should be your best option, but I have also heard that Bib dummies are good as they are meant to be shaped very similarly to a nipple!

My baby is on mam bottles but only took to nuk dummies

have you tried BIBS? they do a sample pack of 3 different dummy types. after trying every dummy under the sun, one of those ones worked for us! https://amzn.eu/d/97WWHOL

I was told by my health visitor and my doctor that I should be using dummies when my baby is distressed, because he is bottle fed he doesn't have a breast for comfort. After trying a few brands I would recommend Bibs dummys and tommee tippee.

The only ones mine will take are the bibs ones, she refused the mam ones

@Joanne this is such a ridiculous thing for them to suggest 😂

@Elena I thought that too when the health visitor said it, but when the doctor also said it I researched it. Online it was also recommended to satisfy their natural sucking reflex when they can't have the breast

@Joanne interesting I’ve literally never heard that before! I’m very much against dummies myself but all my friends use them.. I just didn’t want the drama of getting him off them tbh 😂
