Have you tried using boric acid and starting a probiotic??
Have you tried daily Flintstone kids complete? Lol so it is like a prenatal but also balances hormones. I would cut back on cleaning too much down there, let your natural oils come back. If this doesn't resolve I'd be curious about OTC birth control just for 2-3 months to reset your PH/ hormones
If all else fails I'd ask OB or primary to run a full cancer panel. You can call your ob & make your own appointment without refer
Sounds to me as though you may have what is called Lichen sclerosus. It’s essentially like an eczema that you can get down there . What you need is a biopsy of the site to confirm it. It’s treated with steroidal creams. You can have flares and it can get extremely itchy but do your best not to scratch because that area is extremely sensitive . I’ve assisted with these procedures many many times. There is help
That sounds scary but it could be something so simple. Do you eat a lot of sugar? Candida overgrowth in your body causes similar symptoms to what you've described. A high alkaline diet and natural supplements should clear it up but if you're very anxious over it, do push for a biopsy or go for a third opinion with an obgyn. Sometimes a hormone imbalance cause cause it as well. Might be worth looking at your diet and seeing how you can cut out candida causing foods like dairy and sugar. 🫶
The first thing that the white patches make me think is lichen sclerosus x
After 4 years I’d demand a biopsy to diagnose whether it could be this lichen sclerosus or cancer. They have to admit at this point that they clearly have no idea what it is so a biopsy is extremely reasonable. Doctors are kind of the worst though so you will likely have to be pushy. I saw someone somewhere suggest using phrases like “ok what information have you used to make this diagnosis?” Or “ok and what data have you used to rule out that possibility” if they have good reasons it will put your mind at ease or if they don’t it will make it clear to you and them how lazy they’re being
Try to not use soap down there and go without underwear. I used to have itching and I stopped wearing undies and it helped a lot.
Thank you all for calming my mind down and helping me not overthink it. I will be trying everything just said here 🥲🩷
@Lauren birth control wouldn’t improve your pH though. It’s not the same as hormones even tho it can alter it
I don’t really like birth control 😬 so I won’t be doing that one. I will start the Firestones just because it sounds like I may need prenatals
I used to get extremely sweaty down there lol, so opposite but I also had irregular periods. My specialist suggested to take otc birth control for 3 months to "reset your hormone balance" this improved my PH as well.
I had my yearly pelvic exam today and my doctor ordered me some steroid cream for a white spot down there. I had no idea as it doesn't itch. I am switching to only cotton underwear and avoiding my Yoga pants for two weeks to see if that helps. If not, I will ask for a biopsy. Thank you for posting about this as I am an anxious person and would have gone down google rabbit holes.
Look up lichen planus could be thisM
Keep going to doctors. Don’t take no for an answer, do your research but don’t self diagnose yourself and worry yourself for nothing. Keep note of everything the doctors say, change the doctors and keep getting tested. It may be something as simple as your allergic to your laundry detergent/have sensitive skin. Wishing you the best 🩷
