Taking formula out and about

I have a nuby rapid but even though you don’t need one of those, you can just go to a coffee shop and ask for boiled water or you can make one and then put it in a bottle warmer before you go out As you can get little bags that you put the bottles in once you’ve made it and it keeps it warm up to 4 hours by the time four hours is up it’s the right temperature I use the nuby rapid cool went out and about and I have a formula dispenser pot But again, you could just go to a coffee shop if you do need boiled water and you’re out around town And then also ask for a cup of cold water to cool the bottle down in

I always take extra bottles with me when I go out just in case. I have bottle warmer bags for the bottles to go into. I put the right amount of formula into small tommee tippee pots. You can buy like flasks that keep the water warm and then just pour into a bottle. It’s just getting into the routine of what to do, once you’ve aced it once, you’ll keep going out 😀

Know it’s not the cheapest but the pre-made bottles are a lifesaver

@Lydia are you taking closed premade bottles everytime you go out? I know they not supposed to last long once opened. At home im using the premade kendamil and hoping to switch to that only for outside and start using powder when in.

As a back up yeah. What we tend to do is make up a bottle just before leaving as that lasts 2 hours but if he’s not hungry in that time or if he has that then we’re out for a while and he wants more and we can’t access a kettle then having the premades is a nice reassurance. He’d drink a whole bottle so not much wasted. Worth choosing cow&gate or sma, as my baby boy has lots of hospital days and they provide those but guess each hospital could be different

My little girl is actually older now but we used to take enough and try and take one we’d made at home with powder (they last 2 hours) if we knew we weren’t going to be out that long. But otherwise yes we took it everywhere
