It its 2 of you attending i would say £200
£200 or £250 if they are good friends.
We did similar in that we asked for contributions towards our honeymoon but it wasn't expected. We received anywhere between £20-£100. Most commonly £50. One of my close friends and my dad's aunt, uncle, cousin and family as a group gave us £100 but it certainly wasn't the norm in my experience.
$200-$500 depending on how close you guys are and it’s two people going to the wedding.
We do £50 pp so if it’s two of you I’d do £100 x
Normally a gift to cover the cost of my plate, but I’m in a situation rn where I’m not getting my friend a gift on top of having to pay for my dress and hair and fly to the wedding and the destination Bach party which she wanted 500 dollars each from all the bridesmaids/ attendees for the weekend 😅 literally all together I’m spending over 1000 dollars for her wedding
@Autumn that is wild! This one is local to us, dinner/ appetizers & beer/wine tab, we could even bring the kids but are opting not to. I think we’ll do £200 which is around $250
Thank you everyone!
You can give however much you want. In your case, I’d say $100-$200 would be good. I attended my cousins wedding years back and we were tight on money and gave him a small amount of money 😅
Enough to pay for your meals then round up to the nearest £50. Usually about £200 for 2 I’d say.
Depends on your income I guess but I’d give £50 to friends, £100 to close relatives
I had this dilemma as well so I asked my friends. In Australia, my friends think giving $150ish (or more) per guest attending is a decent amount. Our daughter came to one wedding so we gave a little more to cover her meal as well. I’m not sure what the norm in the UK is though
