Post partum smells

I literally shower nearly every day , I scrub I wash my vagina and my armpits very well but I’m still bleeding here and there and the smell that comes from my body is so unpleasant and unattractive. I finally was cleared for sex but I don’t want my man anywhere near my vagina because of the smell. It’s not like before im just wondering when it’ll go away or ways to help combat it because it’s embarrassing truly.

I remember post partum thinking “I absolutely stink” it was so unpleasant to be able to smell yourself . But I think it’s unfortunately just one of those things ? I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it but I told myself it was so my baby could smell when I was near to them & feel comforted ?? Xx Can’t advise on how long it lasts or what I did to help combat it. Being open and honest always helps , can’t see your man being too concerned as long as he’s not 👅- he’ll be missing you I’m sure 😍😘

My ob told me it’s completely normal!! 1 of the reasons armpits smell so bad is so baby has an easier time finding your boob when breast feeding!

i went through the same thing and unfortunately it is one of those things. im now 6 months pp and i can’t remember when but it did last a few months! i just washed as frequently as i could, i bought some of those FemFresh products and used them, the wipes every day. as uncomfortable as it will be, talk to your partner about what’s going on. i felt better after letting mine know what was happening

I’m not postpartum yet but I’ve also been dealing with just everything smelling gross no matter how many showers I take 😭

@Larah thank you for posting that picture I've been struggling with feeling like i smell like sautéed onions all the time since birth but couldn't find anything thst works

I think it stopped around 3.5-4 months for me. Felt like ages

You know what! I found out that it’s one of two things: 1) your body chemistry no longer smells good with the products your using, so changing products can help or 2) its your hormones, and not that your hormones make your smell bad, but in fact your sense of smell is completely off. For me, for the first two months I thought I smelled terrible, my family and friends told me I was crazy and smelled normal if not great. Well, I went to a postpartum mommy group and GIRLLL it smelled like sulfur to me, all the ladies (who all appeared to be clean and well dressed) smelled terrible to me. I think the increase and drastic change in hormones make you pick up on the scent that our babies smell, probably some type of pheromone that to non pregnant/ postpartum people doesn’t smell at all. It was my hormones. It got better after changing my diet, about two weeks. Hormones are a crazy thing!

Buy some chlorophyll and add to your water throughout the day, it’ll help remove the bo.
