Severe hydronephrosis
Has anyone’s baby had severe hydronephrosis and it resolved by itself after birth? If so, how long did it take? Did you have to do anything to help your baby? Were there any long term effects on your baby’s health or kidney function?

@Kasey I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope he’s doing well now. When did you find out his kidneys were severely damaged, if you don’t mind me asking?
My baby had a PUJ obstruction and has surgery. He’s 5 months old. We’re waiting for a scan to let us know whether it was successful

My baby had it but it didn’t resolve after birth… his kidneys in our case were severely damaged and he has since then had a kidney transplant. Every child is different though and the damage will vary too.
