I think you can claim a hardship? My husband works for himself and they excused him.
I told them my work doesn’t pay me (which they don’t) and no questions were asked. That was 5 years ago if not more … *knocks on wood* So I’m sure if you just put that you’re on maternity leave in the notes section, or even show up and tell them that when they ask if there’s any reason for you not to be there I’m sure they’ll dismiss you
I think breastfeeding is a valid reason, you can mention that you will be breastfeeding your newborn
I got out of jury duty with my last baby because I was breastfeeding . I just had to send in some paperwork and never heard from them again
You can get an excuse for breastfeeding. Your pediatrician will have to send a note
You can postpone. The same thing happened to me. I wrote an email explaining I would have just given birth by then and need to postpone. They moved it by 7 months.
