Potty training - be excited with me

My boy has done 3 pees and 1 💩 in the potty BY HIMSELF, he’s gone over and done it himself, after has then showed me and he’s guided me to the bathroom and poured it into the toilet, flushed it and washed his hands Noones seems to be excited for me and this makes me sad. No well done, no nothing just ‘stop sending me pictures of pee’ (to a family member) and then just blatantly ignored 😔

Well done to him 🥹🥰🥰🥰🥰 it’s so exciting isn’t it, how old is he?xxx

Well done little man & momma 👏

Oh I’ve just realised what group this is in LOL🤣 such good news xx

I can understand people not wanting to see photos of wee & poo to be fair, lol. It is exciting for us parents, though. Well done to your little boy 👏

@Bethany he’ll be 3 in April 🙈 just feel sad noones excited for me which it’s a big thing really xxx

@Rachel nah i totally get it it was only a pee one and it was to my sister. She could have replied jokingly after a well done instead of ‘stop sending pee pics’ not even a well done like it’s not a thing to be proud about for her nephew 🤷🏼‍♀️ It is exciting as I tried before and he just wasn’t interested. My sister kept telling me he should be toilet trained now and she’d take him to the toilet so for her not to be excited for me is annoying and especially for me when ‘I’ll deal with it when I have too’ and now the have to is here, he’s doing it himself 😭😭

Update: hes done wore a nappy today other than the one he woke up with which he took off and went to the toilet him self in the morning. He’s done 5 pees and 1 💩 today so far. When he done the poo, he tried to do it in the livingroom with me but then he sneaked away to his room (closed the livingroom door😭) then come back and showed me guided me to the toilet to flush it! I could legit cry how grown up he is being

That's brilliant. My little boy is getting there with showing signs of being ready. He keeps pulling his nappy & trousers down & going & sitting on the toilet, but he's already done it in his nappy, so nothing comes out 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Rachel my little boy was the same for ages. When he first started taking his nappy off around newly 2 I thought yes we’ll get it early but he’d sit on the toilet and potty but nothing. Just the end of last week I heard him in the bathroom and he’d taking his bottom half off and was on the toilet. Dunno if he done anything but so just starting showing him the potty and have easy access to it and he’s just starting going himself and hiding away to poo which obviously privacy 🤣 I have bought that they toilet seat/steps as the toddler toilet insert doesn’t fit my loo so he kept falling off/ in🤣hoping this will make it fun for him to go on the big toilet. I think if your boy has started doing that then he won’t be far behind. I think if they do it once they’ll just know, that’s what I kept trying but like you kept missing it as they’d already done it. Is it an option to just keep his nappy off and see what happens ? He’s not wore a nappy at all today and just used the potty x

I think we're going to wait until the weather gets better to keep his nappy off. He's 3 in April, so we were going to actually dedicate some time to it. X
